Automated gas distribution station is a high-tech product that allows you to efficiently and cost-effectively replace outdated gas distribution stations and build new gas supply facilities with minimal time spent on their assembly, installation and commissioning.
Functions of an automated gas distribution station (AGDS)
This equipment can:
- Purify gas with automatic removal of condensate;
- Heat the medium to the required temperatures;
- Maintain the required pressure at the outlet of the automated gas distribution station (AGDS);
- Perform fiscal and process metering of the medium;
- Analyze the physical and chemical characteristics of the gas using chromatographic equipment;
- Odorize gas.
- Provide the automatic system to control the operating conditions of the station's process equipment, including the restriction of gas supplies according to the requirements of the gas distribution company;
- Enable signalling in case of emergencies and malfunctions, including audio and visual alerts that can be transmitted to the dispatcher or operator's panel;
- Provide independent power supply (including backup power from a generator and backup power from a power line through a transformer);
- Provide heating system for all packaged units (containers) at the station;
- Provide gas for technical needs;
- Provide a high-tech system for monitoring the station operation.
The key difference of modern gas distribution stations is that the design provides for complete redundancy of all AGDS process equipment in order to prevent equipment shutdown in case of possible failures of individual parts and units. All locking devices used in these systems support the possibility of automatic or remote control. The widespread use of automation provides a high level of protection and reduces the likelihood of human impact.
